Layout was created for this month's http://gettinsketchy.blogspot.com/ sketch! I have such a good model .....

Pages 80 and 81 More from CKC

This page was created in a Basic Grey Class while at ckc. I added the bookpocket with all my tickets from my events (thanks anne for helping me figure out a perfect way to hold memoriabilia)
Chase Field was right around the corner from the convention center and of the 3 days I was their I was not able to get ONE good shot, so I bought a post card and added my bad shots!
I love baseball season and would love to see a Game at every stadium!

Page 78 and 79 - CKC

These pages were done quickly! The creating keepsakes page kit was included in our scrapbag one night! It was great fun scrappin' each night and meeting new people. Namoi and Mom saved Heather and I a table! We enjoyed scrapping just the three of us (Mom volunteered)!!!
I added a few scrap stickers and STICKLED it up!

I won a book on the first night of scrapping. Heather bought a chocolate malt (it was all ribbons)!
I love stickles!

Random Pictures that didn't fit into the themes

Isn't he the cutest! and to think he is driving me to a scrapbook convention and the guy can still smile!

Who would have thought that there is a market
for Firearms and Avon in the same store!

Look at the cost of a gallon of gas in California ... anyone want to move here???

CKC

Welcome ... i was so excited to be attending CKC in Phoenix this year! I was a tad disappointed in the first hotel we stayed at, the parking situation at the convention center, the heat, the lack of places to eat
The first crop night of thursday was quite slow to get started but we got some great goodies in the GOODY bag!
I won the first of 2 copies of this book i would win during the crops on this night. There were a few vendors there offering some early bird specials! Heather bought herself a drink!

Around Phoenix

I have to comment on the archtiecture in the Phoenix area, it was awesome.

I couldn't resist the Forensic Science building Center.

Aren't these buildings AWESOME!

Chase Field .... Home of the DBacks ... for the sports fan in us all!

CKC Crop buddies

While waiting in line to pick up her tickets heather befriended Namoi and her mom. When i got to the convention center to get my tickets they had saved me a place at the table to crop with them!
In chatting with these 2 lovely young ladies i learned that they were from Tim's home state of New Mexico. Namoi lives in Bernaillo and Mom lives in Clovis. What fun huh, when i go there next time i can look them up and they can take me to all the stores that i miss! ( i am sure that tim will not be happy about this but that is okay)

Pages 341 - 358 Big Bear camping 2006

I started scrapping this trip while at ckc - and then in the hotel the night after we saw the Grand Canyon. This trip was for Derrick and Cody, the deal was that Tim and I would take them camping but they had to do ALL the work. And truthfully besides the driving they really did Page 1 is the boys crammed into the back of my truck!
As there is little leg room in the truck with 2 boys back there and we had to sit and wait for the traffic going up the hill, being nice we stopped to allow them some stretch time! That is where page 2 comes in.Page 3, well you know you go camping pack all the food and the BOYS wanted Burger King for dinner and i obliged! I feared eating their food on night one! LOL ... BTW i bought the really cool book on how to make mosaics while at CKC so i gave it a go on this layout!. Page 4 We are at the campground and the boys must unpack and set up camp! And they do it WITHOUT a complaint! Personally i think it is because they wanted to hurry and make the camp fire!(Page 5)Which as you see they did! I think we should call them sparky instead of derrick and cody!
Pages 6 - 10 are of things happening at the campfire and the boys cooking breakfast with a tad bit of assistance i don't think tim wanted crunchy eggs! LOL Page 11 is our adventure out in letterboxing. We drove all over Big Bear looking for letterboxes, page 11 is our first stop which was a dud! But we met another family doing the same thing so that restored my faith in that there might be a box up there yet! SO page 12 is the first box we found together! Yes the we all did it together! (the boys were getting good at backseat driving!Pages 13 and 14 are at the Discovery Museum, where we had to go and get our day passes to park and our map for a few trails we wanted to hike!

We decided to hike the Woodland Hills trail not only because it was a loop but because it was a self guided trail (great views and great information) and oh yeah there was a letter box on this trail. Well we decided that the boys should learn something while we have them in the great outdoors, so we grabbed our green flyer and stopped at each stop and the boys took turns reading what they were looking at. To be honest i was impressed that they actually seem to care! Cody learned not to eat yellow flowers as you don't eat yellow snow! So the trail map and the first two stops are pages 15 - 17
I must have been in a fishing mood that night, because fishing came the next day but i scrapped this layout of derrick! Page 18!

This makes me 7 pages from my goal of 365 which i should be able to accomplish before 12/31!
