Pages 289 - 306 Geo caching

WOW i did some serious scrapping in 3 days. I managed a mere 23 pages :) that leaves me 244 more to met my goal for the yr. These weekends pages were page kits and completed pages mostly very few originals, but i will take it :) this means pictures of my desk and pages in my book. The pages you see here are from a geo caching trip to balboa park. We did more than caching. I think we did a lot of site seeing and tons of picture taking . The flowers were in full bloom and gorgeous. The building architecture was awesome. The hikes and walks to get the geo caches were quick and long and some were rather dirty. At one point i had to go wash my feet in the bathroom. This taught me that on future geo caching trips to wear tennis shoes sandals are not appropriate footwear.
You are not seeing double i did 2 pages extremely similar. These pages were in a page kit and i altered them up a tad to showcase the flowers. (sorry about the sideways it would not upload straight). I wish i could scrap the smell that these flowers omitted.
Geo caching has taken us to very cool places. This particular monument was the veterans rose garden. They are reading a plaque dedicated to purple heart winners. Very moving!

Again sorry about the crooked upload for some reason it didn't upload straight and even if i turned it to make it upload right that didn't help. Derrick has been a trooper on our geo caching expeditions. He has even gotten in the habit of posing for pictures!

Thanks for taking the time to look!

A little bit of scrappin on Friday. I really did more sorting of the pictures and looking for page kits than scrapping but it is good to get the first one down for the weekend

August 23, Day 235 - a testimate to what children will eat

Today we took elyse and derrick to san juan capistrano to do some geo caching and have a history lesson. I think that it is important that the children understand the past as they say history repeats itself. We found some great and creative caches. After a long hot day of hiking hills, to old cemetaries, dead ends, pumps, sand and whatever else was in the way we went to BAD TO THE BONE BBQ as suggested by a dear friend. We went in and ordered elyse ordered a salad and they brought it to the table. I am not sure what this is but it was in the salad and i am not eating it, however elyse and her I can do attitude, stuck it in her mouth, only to quickly grab derricks soda ... she said at first it tasted sweet then it was just gross!

Universal Studios - Day 73

Okay so today Hayley, Elyse and I headed to universal studios, but much to my surprise (NOT) this is the traffic we hit on the 101 ... gotta love LA. while waiting to get on the Simpson ride the girls were amusing themselves ... and i couldn't resist taking a picture .. OH MY what dorks HUH!!!

We also had our pictures taken with spongebob. Whomever was in the costume on this day DID a great JOB!!! and to think that there was no line ... This is the scene from War of the WOrlds as seen on the backlot tour! The girls and i were trying to take pictures on the jurassic park ride, my fear was that my camera would get wet, so we all pulled out our cell phones and I think that these are pretty decent pictures for being taken with our cell cameras. As a matter of fact all pictures on this blog post were taken with our cell phones.

After a great day at universal we walked City Walk. There is a shop called ITS SUGAR ... well everything in there was SUGAR ... and i only spent 8 bucks. But these leggo looking block candy brought back some memories as Lori bought them for Vicente and he thought that they were one of the coolest things!!!
