Pages 313 - 321 scrappin in O'side

50 YEARS of DISNEYLAND now that is an accomplishment! Walt had such a great vision! I took Kelsie to celebrate the 50 YR party maybe she can take her grandkids to the 100 and they can compare PICTURES! LAYOUT 1 was a page kit that i created for SWAPS that Work! So, after a day of shopping at the SHOP HOP, i plopped down on the bed and decided to SCRAP i needed to make sure that the page kits assemebeled for CKC were going to work! I managed 6 pages that night (so yes they worked) and the rest were finished when i got home! layout 2 and 3 were created from a page kit that was completed for Swaps that work by Leti. Isn't it great to get a page kit and make 2 layouts from it instead of just the one that it was intended for! BTW if you have never used these mickey mouse buttons they are great and come in a nice package with plenty for a whole 2 page layout!
Layout 4 was a page kit created for ISH by Paula (who rocks) i added a tad of ribbon and changed the background sheet and PRESTO another completed page!
Layout 5 was created using an already done page (which i decided that i truly did not like) they need a lot of srpucing up! These pictures of Kelsie were taken while we wait for the Snow White show to come on. I think one of the worse things about Disneyland is the HURRY up to wait Syndrome!
Layouts 5 and 6 were created using swaps that i have been collecting for some time now, as there aren't very many pictures with pinocchio that we take! So what do you all think of the page with NO PICTURES!

Layouts 7 and 8

were taken from a page kit that i had in my stash! These 2 pages were done at home! The kit was awesome (wish it had a name)! These pictures were taken of the actual snow white production!

SHOP HOP until you are BROKE!

Rhonda arrived at my house 10 min early ... now for those of you who know me know that i am always late as is Rhonda and she was EARLY! Yikes i wasn't even dressed, but i hurried into the clothes and tim packed the truck and off we went !

With PASSPORT in hand we were off to the first store which wasn't open yet --- they didn't open until 10 and we were there at 915, so we went to vons for a DIET COKE and a DEW. Some snacks and a new plan!

We decided to head off to the Riverside store so our first stop was Auntie Amy's Where they had some super cool specials and munchies for the customers .. first official store is behind us.

Then off to breakfast at Farmer Boys and back on the road, we decide to hit the 2 stores that were closed so back to Corona we go.We go to Once upon a time, where the young lady manning the cash register is most helpful! We come out of this store rather poor! But look at this awesome display to take pictures with! We learn at this store if you take pictures at each store and upload you can be entered to win a contest for some tinkering ink products (however what they forgot to mention is that each person must be in front of the store and holding their passport --- guess we disqualified ourselves .. oh well) BTW they had great deals ... i got some great fishing stuff and Rhonda bought some things that she had been looking for and better yet each purchase was 20% off!

Then off to Kandy Scrappers in Corona, where we learn that the freeway we were going to take is grid locked! UGHHHHHHHHHHH so we devise a plan and head out! BTW this store had a great make and take however no time for that we have to grab and go so many more stores to see and we are already behind schedule! We take back streets, run over curbs, make illegal u-turns but manage
to make it to scrapbooking corner in hemet! So who thinks that Rhonda will ever get in a car with me again! The good news is that i knew the back streets so we didn't have to sit in gridlock!

Which can i say they have the most beautiful rocks!

They were painted like apples and frogs!. This store had the cutest little carts to hold your stuff as you shopped (those picutres are on Rhonda's camera!

Off to more back streets and driving! (i can't remember which stores we hit first but these next few stores were all within like 5 miles of each other)

NOW and Then - Wildomar - great little store ... super cute asain food layout .. i snapped a picture and intend to scrap lift it .. i bought all the items to do just that!

(there was another store in Temecula (that picture must be on Rhonda's camera) . These stores ... well it was amazing to go into so many stores and each store have some different and unique ... we literally spent money in every single store!



Its about time - Murrieta -- This store was awesome in the displays and the very friendly staff! Again i snapped a great picture of a layout entitled surviving the teen yrs .. intend to scrap that one times 3! This store had a huge scrap area .. i think that we might head back here to scrap one night! As the sign says come as friends leave as family ... well family visits right so we must go back to this store!

jazi crafts oceanside - this store was hard to locate --- it was in an industrial park and you had to make many u-turns to find it. The night is dwindling fast but we call the next store as we are certain that we are going to be make it to the next store in poway! so off goes leadfoot! Can we make it is the question we are pondering???????
Cool stuff in Poway was a huge store just loaded with anything and everything, the bummer thing is that the air conditioner was broke and it was far to hot to stay in this store. So we call it a night and head back to Oceanside for dinner, rest and sorting of goods ... (did i mention i need to peeeeeeeee) . SO the drive back to the hotel should be about 15 min i think well i can hold it ... guess what this is what we saw when we were entering the freeway .. and not really knowing the area i wait it out! OMG i have to go so bad ...
This was a four car accident across the median! The accident looked bad, we hope everyone was okay! With the accident across the median both sides of the freeway were clogged! and i still have to peee ... we contemplated how i can get out run across 3 lanes of traffic pee and not get an indecent exposure ticket! Well needless to say the wait was long but i managed to hold it and didn't get a ticket or have that excitement!
To the room we go! We sort over the daily finds! Divide up the goods ... they had some great buy on get ones ... and so many other great deals ... so many that i am afraid to add up what i spent .. but the good news it was all cash .. no charging !!!!!!!!

I decide to give my page kits a test run (finished pages on another blog entry)

AHHHHHHHHHHHHH Morning ... showered and ready to start the day we go get a breakfast of champions, diet coke, dew and choco-diles . Doesn't everyone go the extra mile for breakfast ... LOL ... no time to sit and eat at a fancy place more stores to hit this morning ... we are on a mission ... First stop of the am ---- ever after carlsbad. SO love this store! This is where i met R0bin, leti, and Shelley .. as we have shopped ourselves out one would think that we were done buying but not us ...
Okay off and running -- but wait we are turned around OH no are we lost .. no we just have to reverse directions and find a bank i am out of CASH! YIKES!
Next store was the pink pineapple vista literally this store was PINK and PINK and MORE PINK ... almost too much pink, but they too had a supurb crop area!

Then off to flashbacks del mar (where i found the really cool and discontinued Quick kutz bowling ball and pin die!.... SWEET --- This store was loaded with everything one could want if you had the time to go through it but as we still have stores to hit we bought a few things and headed on our way but not before Rhonda checked out the purse party outside the store and i am proud to say that she didn't buy a single thing! (purses that is)

Then to Rhonda's favorite place this scrapbook store in San Diego Literally was right next to the RENT a HARLEY store. Very Very hard to get to store but several u-turns and 3 point turns and we were there! scrap your life . Something for the hubby tooo ... honey can i go to the scrap store -- you can rent a harley while i am scrapping ... can you see the bribery coming! ....LOL
Then off to La Mesa where robin finds at memories in the making the deal of century! She buys every paper tray they have on clearance for like a quarter a piece....there are so many we had to use the bed of the truck .. yes the bed of the truck to haul the scrapbook stuff home!

The day is passing quickly and I am tried we are going to try for 3 more stores .. but the ride to El Cajon was just longer than we thought! But we did make it ... it is called the yellow bird scrapbooking store. Why you ask because there is a yellow bird in the store ... bTW this store is usually closed on Sunday's but opened just for this contest .. the time has dwindled and we aren't going to make it to Mission Viejo or Anaheim Hills, but i did manage enough stamps to be entered into the drawing for a $50 gift certificate. Rhonda on the other hand is determined to win the cruise and spends the remaining days of the week hitting every other store on the list .. YES ladies and gentlemen RHONDA went to 29 STORES ... lets all hope she wins because if she does i am going on a CRUISE .. she invited me to go with her .. how nice huh ....
TOTAL miles for the 15 stores we hit was --------
----- 382.20 --- yes a lot of miles but we had some great FUN .. thanks Rhonda!

SO CAL SHOP HOP ---- it is happening this weekend!

So the email flashes across the screen one night as i sit reading emails, visit stores, do make and takes, and enter to win money and a crusie, i immediately send this out to the closet peeps i know in the CALI, Rhonda responds back, sounds like fun lets sign up .. so the day is approaching, Rhonda signs us up! Then shoots me an email with a list of stores and their geographical area ... she is ready .. she intends on visiting all the stores and winning the CRUISE .. i however can not! I leave for CKC on Wednesday .. but never fear i can't leave my scrapping buddy alone, so on saturday morning, i am getting up early (i know control yourself me early .. yeah right) packing my bags and rhonda and i are hitting the highways of southern California, destination ... all 29 stores .... peek in for updates!
