Pages 496 - 507 -- Cruise - 2007

12 Pages done that put me over my 500 mark for the year! I used a bunch of the memorabilia that i had saved from the cruise on these pages and they are simple but i am very proud of completing my goal and surpassing it. I am now working on getting the book done as a surprise for tim. As i have spent the last several nights watching private practice and grey's anatomy on line i have not had the chance to use any sketches for my pages and that is a first for me in a long time! When i have been putting these pages together i can remember the cruise like it was yesterday .... it is nice to scrap with such raw feelings and emotions!

Pages 490 - 495 - Cruise

The certificates are from our excursion of cooking at Mango Mango in Mexico. We had fun at the casino and the other 3 pages are from pictures around the ship.

Pages 481 - 489 Cruise 2007

9 more pages to add to the cruise album!!! I am excited almost as excited as i am to be nearing the 500 page mark. the first 6 pages are created using the heartstrings designs June 2008 kit modify ed to fit my pictures. they worked out awesome. In the first 2 pages we are learning to build a toastada.

The next 2 pages are from the beginning of the TASTE OF MEXICO at Mango Mango for our excursion. We made salsa and then turned that into guacamole. Tim liked the guacamole I on the other hand didn't add the avocado to mine. Thank you to Madeleine for the great sombrero pif. The next 2 pages we are learning to make tamales. Now this is something that i have always wanted to do. Let me tell you that i am absolutely no good at it. I couldn't get the masa to spread for nothing. Tim as always was a natural. I love the mat board that heartstrings designs uses in their kits. It really gives it there unique flavor. Also thanks again to Madeleine for the shirt pif! These elements were PERFECT for my pages.

The next 2 pages are from our fancy night at dinner. Although Tim and i didn't dress overly fancy and we didn't' take any pictures i did manage a few shots of the food and the waiter ... BTW when trying to eat i advise you NOT to look out into the ocean ... ugh i made myself seasick. OH yeah, both nights at dinner i ate the same thing as it was the only thing that i could pronounce .... CHICKEN!

The last page is me drinking around the ship when we first borded the ship. I will miss deluxe cuts, i think that i am nearing the end of my diecuts from that company.

Pages 473 - 480 Cruise 2007

Yeah more pages. I am making a dent to the 500 for the year. I dug out the pictures from the cruise from 2007 not that i have scrapped the cruise from 2004 but hey we can't win them all. THe first two pages were from a boating completed page swap from dazzlingscrapbookdivas i removed the boats and added some life vests and these pages were perfect for the life boat drill.

The second 2 pages were us just drinking around the ship before it left Long Beach. Or should i say tim drinking. Thanks to Carolyn for the title Bon Voyage ... love her titles. The drink on the page was handcrafted by Trisha H for a swap on awesome swaps .. Thanks trisha he looks good with your drink .... now if he would have only shared with you...
The next 2 pages were when we first arrived in long beach to board the ship ...

The last page is shots of the queen mary which makes its home right near Carnivals slot.

YEAH More pages -- Pages 463 - 473

I dug into the STASH to complete some more pages. I really want to make my goal of 500 before years end and I was on target until about 2 weeks ago and then it hit ... the block wall ... ugh no desire to scrap. But last night i buckled down and scrapped something i don't usually get to scrap SNOW! It was quite fun. The pictures are from 2006, when my truck was baptised in the snow ... it held up well coming up and down the mountain and with snow! The kids had a great time playing in the bed! Nicole was prego with Devontae in these pictures. The really cute snow peoples were made by Trisha for a swap on awesome. Though you can not see it most of the snowflakes are covered in stickles to give them a sparkly feel!
So still feeling creative i sorted the stack of pictures on my desk and found some that didn't get scrapped from the last few events. I positively have too many piles on or near the desk!

The double pink layout i created as the sketch pages on awesome. These have been mailed out to the gals so i get to use!!! Yeah a quick 2 pages and photos off the desk!

Thanks Elaine for the PIF of spiders and spiderwebs they added some true cuteness to this page!

Pages 461 - 462 - Bee House

Here are 2 pages that i did a while back. I used a bee swap from the stash of swaps that i have on hand. I added some Karen Foster bee brads and some other bees from the stash! The bees are from my quick kutz and i altered them to go on poker chips! This was a great quick couple pages! The pictures are from Halloween pumpkin patch trip from 2007.

Pages 451 - 460 - Derricks Birthday

Spent the day and the extra hour SCRAPPING. I managed to get 10 pages finished and several swaps. Not to mention 3 loads of laundry and cooked a dinner of mac and cheese, all the while tim watched the marathon of prison break. This made for a great and relaxing day.
This pages are from Derricks 15th Birthday (which was in Feb of 2008) Funny thing is that these are probably the first pictures that i scrapped that were in the same year!

The chipboard alphabet used on these couple of pages was a pif from Kathy C. Thanks. The two girl pages of Taylor were from a completed page swap. I love it when pages go together quickly and look good!

Birthday Boy Page i will have to ask derrick those questions and fill it in!
