75 Mickey's

8 more pages to add to my 75 Mickey Album. The funny bone page is created using swaps items from awesome. I believe that Jodie made the pumpkins. The under the sea page the bathing suit was created using a paper piecing swap from awesome.

75 Mickey's

A couple of years ago Kelsie, Amy, and I went to California Adventure. We happen to stumble upon a cool thing happening there were 75 Mickey Statues around the park. So off we went to make sure we got all 75 well today i am working on scrapping those 75 mickey's (again go to labels to see other pages) Well i wanted to verify i had them all so a long search of the net i found this site http://www.startedbyamouse.com/features/75MickeysLandView.shtml WOW all 75 statues plus in the same place, then a further search to get the numbers of the statues i came across this site http://www.allearsnet.com/tp/mk/mick75.htm So my information on my pages should be accurate!

Here is a little bit of information on why the statues were created!

To celebrate Mickey's 75th Birthday, 75 individual life-sized statues of Mickey have been created. The artistic display is in the front of the Magic Kingdom at and around the entrance.
The statues are approximately 6 feet tall and weigh more than 700 pounds. They were created by a wide variety of folks including Disney Legends, artists, actors, musicians and athletes.
They will remain at the Magic Kingdom through April 2004. After that, they will tour cities around the US and Disneyland in California. Sotheby's will auction every statue in 2005 with proceeds benefiting charities chosen by each artist.

Mickey Book in the making

I will confess several years ago Amy, Kelsie and myself went to disneyland and california adventure. We spent a whole day well at california adveture they had this thing where there were 75 mickey statues throughout the park, Amy and I took a picture of each one. I got a disney album at target for 2 bucks and several pifs of 8x8 page protectors and i sent off for the exciting adventure of scrapping allthese pictures! I put one 4x6 picture per page and have contacted Disney to see if i can get the name of each of the statute. Amy recalls that we should have a brochure but as the memorabilia hasn't all been sorted i am not sure where to begin the looking ... Much of the disney paper on these 10 pages are from the Shop Hop weekend with Rhonda!
