WOW .. has it been that long already!
We decided to go on a mini vacation, we rented a hotel room, packed our bags, and the car and away we DROVE. Yes we drove to Albq, New Mexico, to see Tim's mom and family. Tim drove through the night so that we would have some extra time to spend with the family!
Our first stop once in ALBQ, New Mexico was none other than BLAKES LOTABURGER ... and Tim got his smothered in GREEN chile.
Our next stop the hotel .. but we were too early and they wouldn't let us check in so we decided to go to Kirtland Air Force base, where we shopped, tim got a hair cut and we saw a spectacular display of THUNDERBIRDS soaring overhead.
Okay so after gawking at the planes for what seemed like forever we headed with less hair of course to the hotel to shower and get ready for the days festivites as there is never a dull moment.
They let us check in!
YEAH a shower and to unpack!
Once unpacked we headed out to dinner with Tim's sister and brother in law and nephew ... we at a little place called Monica's near OLD TOWN.
It was a delicious food with great company!
Back to the hotel for sleep.
Up early the next morning .. for me it was early and off to take mom to Lunch at CiCi's pizza!
And then off to the tram ride.
Yes we are doing touristy things, we are going to take the tram ride to the Sandia Mountains.

At one point we are 950 feet above sea level!
At the top of Sandia Peak we were 10, 378 feet ... WHAT AN AWESOME VIEW!~
Well the ride back down to civilization was where i turned GREEN ... the swaying coming over the 2 towers was um well how do you say it nicely .. nauseating!
But that feeling didn't last long and it was off to dinner to find some green chile burgers and fries with a dash of a blizzard! Then off to bed
The next morning found us out having breakfast with family! And according to mom and yes we don't question mom menudo is the breakfast of champions! (Um good thing
me aint in the running for a championship)
Meals with Tim's family seem to turn into hrs of chatting and reminiscing and just enjoying each other.
After breakfast which turned into lunch, we headed to OLD TOWN ALBQ, to do some shopping for goodies!
After a heat spent filled day in ALBQ's old town we all meet for DINNER! And can i tell anyone whom is reading this that that was the HOTTEST salsa my lips have ever touched! AND OH my did my taste buds pay for the taste!
Well this was our last meal with the family as the next day we were heading home!
But not before i share one picture of beautiful ALBQ at NIGHT!

Man! You definitely reminded me of my family! Those are such Mexican "thingies"... breakfast HAS to be menudo, ESPECIALLY if you drank the night before (hehe!). Seriously, we would travel to a small village close to us, just to have some menudo. It was AWSOME. And most definitely, those breakfasts turn into lunches in NO TIME! I can't believe that you took that cable ride thingy! I would've had a PANIC attack right there!!!
