WITHOUT BATTERIES!
Wow, has anyone ever wondered what the world would be like without eletricity! Well tonight i had the pleasure of knowing what primitaive means we all stoop too when we are without electricity! Yes i say with NONE, NADA, ZILTCH no ELECTRICITY. It seems that a transformer blew and knocked out power in about 2 city blocks on this hot humid Thursday night!.
It started like a regular Thursday night, i went to school, came home, ate dinner, turned on the computer to chat with my friends, pulled out some scrapping stuff, and the next thing i know ... all around me it was dark, but i didn't flinch, i had the light of a laptop that is on back up battery! AHHHHHHHHHH how nice, i can keep typing and chatting, but what did i hear outside the window, chaos and mayhem, yes i believe that i did. So i relcutantly pulled myself away to help Tim find a battery operated flashlight, what do you mean you used those for that scrapbooking thingy you bought, is about all you could hear thoughtout the house. But i managed to find a flashlight, a cellphone, and a lighter. These seemed like necesseties to a girl of the 20th century. Grabbed candles, lite them, grabbed rolodex, called police department ... dang transformer is blown, it will be awhile. No worries, neighbor lite BBQ bit to cook some dinner; so while BBQing a steak we chatted with all our neighbors and may i comment that i have the worlds best neighbors!
As i sit outside in the stale heat and dark night, i ponder turning back on the laptop, when the elderly lady upstairs is complaining about this heat, and no AC, how can anyone expect her to sleep ... at that exact moment on came all the lights , and removed us from the dark!
What a night to be caught without batteries!

Hmmmm, no back-up batteries? There is this really cool new flashlight that all you do is shake back and forth and it charges! No batteries needed......EVER! (Do we have one? Well, no, all I said is that it's pretty cool!!!)
Glad it wasn't too long in that Cali heat!!!!
Boy, it sounds like so much fun, though! sometimes I liked to go without electricity, just because I love candles that much... but in the middle of the summer, with the heat???? naaaaaahh, thank ya!!!!!
(I can always have the steak, you know?)
