Derrick, the bottle and a trip to the ER

Well, a few days ago, actually probably longer than that now. I was sitting at my desk at work and my cell phone rang, it was my MOM. Mom never calls me during the day, so with my heart in my stomach i answer the phone, Hi Mom, whats up. OH NO do you know what i hear on the other end. Crying, someone searching for her voice, she whimpers out Hi. Have you talked to your sister. My reply, no she hasn't called my phone, (WHEWWWWWWWWWww her and dad are okay) whats up. Derrick's head has been split open and they are en route to the hospital. SH%^(*&(*&_ mom is he okay. Insert a gaggle of tears here ... i have no idea your sister hasn't called me.
So, i excuse myself from the office and call my sister .. hey whats up with Derrick, do you need me to help with the girls, she states everything is okay.
Well if all is okay why is mom crying.
SO the story goes like this.
DERRICK as pictured here was at school today like most kids should be at 1 in the afternoon. He got hit in the head and is bleeding. Well, now mild manner good kid derrick could not have possibly got in a fight so what happened.
SIT DOWN FOR THIS!
He hit himself in the head with a 20 ounce plastic soda bottle.
See cute derrick as he states was flipping the bottle around making some smooth moves and a friend called my name so i looked at him and the bottle which i flipped came down and hit me in the head!
So Derrick, you hit yourself in the head with a plastic bottle and you were bleeding like real blood. Yes Auntie, okay well what next, well you see it hurt so i put my hand up there and when i looked at my head it was covered in blood, and the ground was covered in blood and it wouldn't' stop so i went to the nurse. Okay. Well mom doesn't have a car because dad has it grandpa has the car at the hospital getting his meds, so i sat down to wait. Man there was blood everywhere, the nurse got it to stop and by the time mom and Aaron got there to get me i was just holding a napkin up to my head!
When i stood up i was light-headed but i told mom i was okay to go to baseball practice, the nurse kindly said not without a dr.'s note. So off my sister and the gang go to the ER, where the nice dr grabs a razor so he can shave his head to see the cut. When he moves the hair a little, the CUT was less than the size of one half inch. The dr determined that there was no need to shave his head or staple him or give him stitches, he just needed to be careful and he was okay to play ball when it scabbed up!
So moral of the story if you are going to flip bottles CATCH them in your hands NOT your head!
