United States Marine Corps - Support out Troops

Tim is a retired MARINE - he served our Country for 20 plus years and will forever support our troops always and faithful! He has taught me over the last 15 years the definition of loyalty and honor! I always supported the troops! They didn't make the decision to go to war, but they are supporting our freedom by being in a war torn country.
The following excerpt was sent to me by a good Friend and i wanted to pass it on so as AMERICAN's we can SUPPORT OUR TROOPS!

Blue Fridays.
Very soon, you will see a great many people wearing blue every Friday.
The reason? Americans who support our troops used to be called the 'silent majority' We are no longer silent, and are voicing our love for God, country and home in record breaking numbers. We are not organized, boisterous or overbearing. Many Americans, like you, me and all our friends, simply want to recognize that the vast majority of America supports our troops. Our idea of showing solidarity and support for our troops with dignity and respect starts this Friday -- and continues each and every Friday until the troops all come home, sending a deafening message that ... every red-blooded American who supports our men and women afar, will wear something blue. By word of mouth, press, TV -- let's make the United States on every Friday a sea of blue much like a homecoming football game in the bleachers. If every one of us who loves this country will share this with acquaintances, coworkers, friends, and famil y, it will not be long before the USA is covered in BLUE and it will let our troops know the once 'silent' majority is on their side more than ever, certainly more than the media lets on.

The first thing a soldier says when asked 'What can we do to make things better for you?' is ...'We need your support and your prayers.' Let's get the word out and lead with class and dignity, by example, and wear something blue every Friday.

I thought that was what Red Fridays were for? This is all very confusing! And what about yellow ribbons? No offense but don't you think it would make it easier to use a one-color system?? (That's of course rhetorical, I know you didn't come up with this).

Anyway, I also watched a video and maybe I still have it, that says if you can't say "thank you" out loud to someone you see who is obviously in the military, to give them the 'thank you' sign in sign language (and then it proceeds to show you what that is).

This country is screwy no doubt. I have always supported our troops, if it weren't for them where would our country be? Drives me insane all those that don't understand that. And the funny thing is that the biggest supporters to our troops are most certainly those whose child or loved one has joined, you never hear them say anything badly even if their loved one dies in the line of duty...hmmm you think we should heed a lesson there??

Thanks for sharing Pauline, please don't think I'm attacking you - quite on the contrary. Oh and a BIG THANK YOU to Tim for serving his time for US. GOD BLESS!
