75 Mickey's

A couple of years ago Kelsie, Amy, and I went to California Adventure. We happen to stumble upon a cool thing happening there were 75 Mickey Statues around the park. So off we went to make sure we got all 75 well today i am working on scrapping those 75 mickey's (again go to labels to see other pages) Well i wanted to verify i had them all so a long search of the net i found this site http://www.startedbyamouse.com/features/75MickeysLandView.shtml WOW all 75 statues plus in the same place, then a further search to get the numbers of the statues i came across this site http://www.allearsnet.com/tp/mk/mick75.htm So my information on my pages should be accurate!

Here is a little bit of information on why the statues were created!

To celebrate Mickey's 75th Birthday, 75 individual life-sized statues of Mickey have been created. The artistic display is in the front of the Magic Kingdom at and around the entrance.
The statues are approximately 6 feet tall and weigh more than 700 pounds. They were created by a wide variety of folks including Disney Legends, artists, actors, musicians and athletes.
They will remain at the Magic Kingdom through April 2004. After that, they will tour cities around the US and Disneyland in California. Sotheby's will auction every statue in 2005 with proceeds benefiting charities chosen by each artist.
