Shake Shake SHAKE

Yes we had some SHAKING going on in Sunny Southern California TODAY!
I got this info from InstantRiverside.com

(PERSONAL THOUGHTS: i work in a building built in 1902 i wasn't sure to run or hide ... running into the streets where every building is as old as the next didn't sound like a good idea, hiding under my desk seemed less appealing, so i sat in my chair and watched the windows shake and the building sway. Some of the ceiling YUCK fell but i am no worse for the wear i will take that shaking to months and months of snow!!)

A 5.4 earthquake centered near Diamond Bar rattled Southern California at 11:42 a.m. according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
There are no reports of injuries or major damage, but minor damage appears to be widespread.
Reported power outages in Chino Hills, (TIM WORKS IN THIS AREA) Pomona and Diamond Bar, though most service was restored by 2:15 p.m.
The quake, initially reported as a 5.6, was then upgraded to 5.8; at approximately 12:20 p.m., the USGS downgraded it to a 5.4.
The quake was centered 4 miles southeast of Diamond Bar, 6 miles southwest of Chino, 6 miles northeast of Yorba Linda and 20 miles west of Riverside.
The shaking was enough to knock items off shelves in downtown Riverside. It is report an earthquake-related water-main break in East Los Angeles and part of a brick wall collapsed in downtown Pomona. Cell phone service is balky, apparently due to the volume of calls. Reports are the temblor was felt as far as San Diego and Las Vegas, and that rides at Disneyland were temporarily shut down. Buildings as far as Los Angeles were evacuated following the quake. Mike Williams, director of the San Bernardino County Department of Airports, said that the Chino Airport was closed for 20 minutes as per procedure but has been reopened. Metrolink service has been suspended until tracks can be inspected; click here for updates. There have already been a number of aftershocks, including a 3.8 at 11:51 a.m. During a press conference, Cal Tech’s Kate Hutton said the university had logged 27 aftershocks within approximately an hour after the quake, and that small aftershocks will likely occur over the next few days. The chart above from the USGS shows shaking from the 15 closest monitoring stations starting 20 seconds before the event.

I am glad you are ok and things were not damaged but. But I do have to say I have never had to run for my life because of a snowstorm. LOL
