We did it. We went whale watching out of the San Diego Harbor. We got up relatively early for Pauline and Tim ate breakfast (awesome continental breakfast served at the hotel). Tim went and got a hair cut (he needed it) we ran to the store to fill the backpack up with snacks and then headed over to the harbor. Parking was a bit more than i anticipated $10 for parking in downtown San Diego WHO KNEW??? But we did get a deal on the tickets so i am not going to complain. We checked in, boarded the boat the Marietta and grabbed two seats and waited until take off. The tour guide Caitlan was awesome. She was a naturalist from Birch's Aquarium. We got to see some seals, sea lions, sea hawks, grey whales, kelp forest and numerous birds.
There were not a lot of sitings of grey whales but i did manage to get one shot of the flukes and a few shots of their backs. I will post those tomorrow when i get home as I used the new camera and do not have he adapter i need just yet!!
