Outdoor Wednesday - Santa Monica Pier

SANTA MONICA

A few weeks ago, I had some business to attend to for work in Santa Monica as we had to be there very early we decided to go ahead and spend the night down there instead of fighting morning traffic as we all know i am not a morning person .. lol. We arrived in Santa Monica with plenty of time to go exploring! I had never been to Santa Monica Pier and it was within walking distance of the hotel, so i was able to convince tim that this was a must see. And I sure wanted to see it. The santa monica pier is famous. He humored me and we walked the few blocks and then walked the beach. It was windy and the sand hurt. But it did not stop me from snapping pictures. So for outdoor wednesday when so many people are surrounded by the cold I thought that I would share some wonderful sites of sunny southern california and the famous MUSCLE beach. I always have so much fun exploring new places. But the bitterness of the wind today was a little more than I liked and the fishermen too as there were very few on the pier. I was really hoping for some good pictures but maybe next time.

You see in movies old men sitting at the park playing checkers and chess and i turned to the right and there they sat ... this was a very cool site to behold.

I hope you enjoyed Santa Monica and maybe someday you will come visit the pier and ride the rides.
