April Third --- GeoCaching revisit 1 yr later

1 yr ago today i joined the geocaching world ... wow wow wow what a great and awesome yr it has been so many memories and so many new friends ... i am so glad that alisha (a scrapping pal) told me all about this

why you ask ... this is whyGeocaching (pronounced geo-cashing) is a worldwide game of hiding and seeking treasure. A geocacher can place a geocache in the world, pinpoint its location using GPS technology and then share the geocache's existence and location online.
Anyone with a GPS device can then try to locate the geocache.

I will use my BLOG as a place to showcase what we have found ... any blog readers going to geocache FIND with me ( i have not done well with this but have showcased some of the cooler finds :)
We are going to find our first TRADITIONAL cache tomorrow .. wish us luck (we did find one and in a yrs time we found 325)

what is a traditional cacheTraditional CacheThis is the original cache type consisting, at a bare minimum, a container and a log book.
Normally you'll find a tupperware container, ammo box, or bucket filled with goodies, or smaller container ("micro cache") too small to contain items except for a log book. The coordinates listed on the traditional cache page are the exact location for the cache. The general rule of thumb is, "If you take an item, leave an item, and write in the logbook." Some caches are themed, so make sure to read the description before going on a hunt.
