July 12, 1960: The Etch-A-Sketch goes on sale. It is every parents dream as it makes no noise, need
s no batteries, has no small parts to lose and requires no assembly. More than 50 million will be sold over the next 25 years.

Do your kids have one ? Did you have one? Are you sitting there thinking whatever happened to mine? And lastly were you the kid that took it apart to see if it worked?

Of COURSE I remember the etch-a-sketch. Of course, it was always lot cooler-looking when someone else was doing it. I never could make my creations look anything like a REAL drawing. :-)
I had etch a sketch after etch a sketch! When one broke, I got another one. I could keep myself busy for hours! I loved my etch a sketch!
My son had one and I think my daughter had one when she was younger, but we don't have one now. May have to get one for the kids for Christmas.
