As i mentioned before i am an avid blog hopper .. I read confessions of a CF husband (see side) My cousin died in 87 from Cf and a dear friend lost his daughter to CF 2 yrs ago march. So the search for a cure has always held a special place in my heart. Well near the end of Haley's life Nate had posted a link to her caringbridge page (http://www.caringbridge.org/cb/viewJournal.do?method=executeInit)
I logged on to see what i could do to help this family.
Sadly Haley lost her battle with this disease, but i continue to read the story of this amazing young lady and the courage she held and the will to fight she displayed. Her mother is giving us glimpses of living with Haley and her determination to find a cure.
Today she posted the most beautiful song lyrics.
WOW these are powerful words.
I am on a mission on itunes to download the song to my ipod!
I just can't belive you're gone
Still waitin' for morning to come
When I see if the sun will rise
In the way that your're by my side.
Well we got so much in store
Tell me what is it i'm reaching for
When were through building memoreis i'll hold yesterday in my heart; in my heart
Chorus:
They can take tomorrow and the plans we made
They can take the music that we never play
All the broken dreams take everything
Just take it away, but they can never have yesterday.
They can take the future that we'll never know
They can take the places that we said we will go
All the broken dreams take everything
Just take it away, but they can never have yesterday.
You always used to stay
I should be thankful for everyday
Heaven knows what the future holds, or least how the story goes
I never believed until now
I know i'll see you again i'm sure
No it's not selfish to ask for more
One more night
one more day
one more smile on your face
But they can't take yestereday.
Repeat Chorus:
I thought our days would last forever
But it wasn't our destiny
Cause in my mind we had so much time, but I was so wrong
No I can believe that
I can still find the strength in the moments we made
I'm lookin' back on yesterday!!!
All the broken dreams, take everything
BUT THEY CAN'T HAVE YESTERDAY!!

WOW, Pauline. I didn't know about your cousin, I'm sorry to hear that. I vaguely remember a girl at school dying from it, but I was very young and can't rembmer.
Beautiful song. Who sings it?
