Planning a trip to LegoLand - California for Aug

(FROM THE WEBSITE) At LEGOLAND® California everyone is a hero on more than 50 super rides, shows and attractions. ADVENTURERS WANTED. The Land of Adventure, LEGOLAND California's newest area, is full of mystery and intrigue. PIRATES WANTED. Sail a galleon in Splash Battle. HEROES WANTED. We are taking Kelsie and Taylor ... yes you read that right Tim and I are braving taking the girls for a whole day ... wonder who will sleep in late the next day us or the girls !!! LOL. I did a little bit of research on what to expect and what the kids can enjoy. I posted the pictures here for you all to see so maybe one or 2 of you will get inspired and met me there to help save tim's sanity. I think that there is enough to do that we should plan on arriving when they open and stay until they close. It will make for a long day but the park looks like there is enough to do to enjoy a long day. It also looks like there are some great educational things where i should take the stroller for the kids to sit and ride and maybe some swimsuits looks like they can get wet! (ANYONE have any input here on what they did or what we can expect???) We can also take some cushions to sit because there are shows, so just when they are tired of standing we sit for a show ... The area is in San Diego so i am hoping that it is a little cooler than the wonderful desert we live in! They are opening a new exhibit next door (see following)In line with the SEA LIFE philosophy, SEA LIFE Aquarium at the LEGOLAND California Resort focuses on the creatures commonly found in local waters. All of the freshwater fish living in the aquarium can be found in California lakes and streams, and our cold water marine animals, which are all native to the California coastline.
At the entrance, a huge LEGO® fish spanning more than 10 feet will greet visitors.
Made of thousands of LEGO bricks, this new model joins a nearly 11 foot-long submarine which will be installed in the ocean display. These are just two of more than 70 new LEGO models you’ll find at SEA LIFE Aquarium, totaling tens of thousands of LEGO bricks.
SEA LIFE also features a seahorse kingdom where children can get their first look at these mythical creatures, a bay of rays where they can experience marine life up-close and a shoaling ring where they will be surrounded 360 degrees by schools of shimmering fish. As guests stroll through an acrylic tunnel, they will be immersed in the ocean without getting wet, surrounded by more than 20 species of sharks, fish and invertebrates. An interactive discovery zone, including the Southern California Tide Pool, also offers young visitors the opportunity to interact with SEA LIFE experts, get hands-on with interesting creatures of the ocean in a touch pool and participate in building their own coral reef out of LEGO brick. Opening right next door - August 11, 2008! GOOD THING our trip is planned for late aug ...WOW that is the end of their season AQUARIUM HOURS OF OPERATION
August 11 - August 31
9:00am - 8:00pm This is the park ... so i will plan on staying a WHOLE day!
